Body | From: http://ciin.miis.edu/2005_call.html Meeting the Challenges of Classroom Implementation: CONTENT, TASKS and PROJECTS May 18-22, 2005 The Graduate School of Language and Educational Linguistics at the Monterey Institute welcomes proposals from language educators who have used, developed or researched materials, tasks, projects and curricula in content-based courses. We particularly encourage the participation of instructors of less-commonly taught languages (LCTLs). The conference will once again bring together educators from a variety of languages, levels and contexts to a) identify critical elements in the use of content, tasks and projects, and their relationship to each other; b) share successful program and curricular models; and c) exchange ideas, materials and approaches for meeting the challenges of classroom implementation and assessment. Plenary speakers: Donna Brinton, David Nunan, Amy Ohta Sessions will focus on the following areas: * Program and Curriculum Development * Pedagogy: Aspects of Effective Classroom Implementation * Assessment of Learning * Integration of Technology Pre-conference workshops will also be offered.
