SILS 2019 To celebrate the Year of Indigenous Languages, SILS invites you to join them in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on the original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, Treaty One territory and the homeland of the Métis Nation on June 6-8, 2019. This is home to speakers of seven Indigenous languages which Indigenous communities, school districts, colleges and universities are developing programs in classrooms and on the land to strengthen and grow. The organizers invite teachers, activists, students and scholars to submit proposals for presentations, posters or workshops to share their best teaching practices, efforts to support documentation and revitalization, and linguistic research.
