Portuguese; the Office of Multi-Ethnic Student Education (OMSE); the School
of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures; and the Latin American Studies
Center, Wednesday, March 16, 2005

All sessions will be held in the Multipurpose Room

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Latinos comprise the largest minority in the United States. The symposium
addresses key issues regarding the socio-cultural, political and educational
realities of U.S. Latinos. The discussions will address in particular the
Spanish-speaking, Latino communities within the Greater Washington, D.C.,
area.

Michael Fix, Vice-President and Director of Studies, Migration Policy

Latinos' education in the education research context.

Latinos at the crossroads of politics, immigration, and education.
