The American Indian Language Development Institute celebrates 40 years of providing Indigenous language education with a conference held in conjunction with the annual Symposium for American Indian Languages (SAIL). The SAIL/AILDI conference will be held April 12 and 13, 2019 at the University of Arizona, Tucson. The theme for the conference is "Language is Life." 

The first day of the conference will feature SAIL and NAMA topics and presenters. The second day of the conference will celebrate the accomplishments of AILDI and will reunite past AILDI instructors and students. Plenary topics will explore the future of Indigenous language revitalization and concurrent workshops will replicate the core course offerings from AILDI’s flagship program, the annual summer training session.
