| Title | WILL you join us this summer at the UO? |
| Body | The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS) at the University of Oregon is accepting applications for a unique professional development opportunity called the Western Initiative for Language Leadership (WILL). This two-year program is designed primarily for rural second language teachers with five or fewer years of teaching experience. Forty participants from around the Pacific Northwest will work as a collegial group supported by CASLS' staff, national experts, and previous WILL participants. During two separate summer institutes (the first of which takes place from June 20 - 24, 2005) and ongoing projects during the school year, participants will focus on action research and leadership. Please note that the application deadline for this unique opportunity is February 18, 2005, and is quickly approaching.
