TitleJigsaw Activities Appeal to Logical/Mathematical Thinkers
Body

From http://teachinginthetargetlanguage.com

Laura from the Teaching in the Target Language blog describes a small-group information gap task called the jigsaw: "Have your students work in small groups. Each group member will have a job to do. Give your students a scenario pertaining to a given topic. Each student is responsible for going out and finding specific information, or a particular 'piece of the puzzle.'

"Students should go to the section that has the number they were assigned. Once students arrive in their section of the room (For instance, all '1's are in certain section of the room), students should look at a picture. Students should try to remember as much as possible from the picture. By the way- Each section of the room will have a different picture. Each picture represents a particular 'piece of the puzzle.' Once students have looked at the picture and they think they remember it, they will return to their original groups."

She goes on to give examples of how to use this activity with different topics that students are studying. Read her post at http://teachinginthetargetlanguage.com/the-jigsaw-how-can-we-appeal-to-the-logicalmathematical-learners/
