Title | Call for Papers: Special Journal Issue on Corpus-Based Language Teaching and Learning |
Body | From https://linguistlist.org/issues/29/29-2988.html Call for Papers: The great advances in corpus building and tools in recent years are yet to be matched by the actual use of corpora in language teaching. The last decade has seen a surge in corpus-based teaching approaches in second/foreign language classrooms, as teachers around the world realize the importance of authentic data in their classrooms. However, the move to a more corpus-conscious approach is not an easy task, especially for less common or resource-poor languages. The potential applications of corpora in language teaching are numerous, whether by using specific corpus-based tasks in the classroom or by developing corpus-informed teaching materials. This special issue will aim to present a panoramic view of the latest trends in the corpus-based teaching approach and how they are shaping the language classroom. Research related to under-represented languages is especially welcome. To express interest, submit an abstract by September 15, 2018.
