Journey to Spanish-speaking countries—the sights, the sounds, the tastes—while staying in the heart of Oregon this summer with the Central Oregon Summer Spanish Immersion (COSSI) program, June 25-29, at COCC.

COSSI is an inspirational summer camp for travel lovers, families looking for a prelude to overseas adventure (the minimum age is 16), business travelers notching-up their language skills and anyone who dreams in Mediterranean blues and cobblestone lanes.

This five-day, language-focused cultural experience includes a total of 10 hours of Spanish instruction (covering beginner to superior language levels), eight hours of facilitated conversation groups, and up to 12 hours of Spanish culture educational sessions, with topics ranging from the tango and Picasso to bullfighting and El Camino de Santiago.

Participants will enjoy a catered dinner, a film night, concert and dance with ¡Chiringa!, and a keynote presentation by BYU professor of Spanish and American Relations John Rosenberg, recipient of Spain’s Officer’s Cross.
