TitleHamburg Museum Will Document German Emigration
Body
A museum set to open in 2007 in Hamburg hopes to attract some of the 43
million Americans who claim German ancestry. Among the attractions will be
renovated residence buildings dating to the 1850s, where Germans stayed
while waiting for ships to take them to America during the 100-year emigration
boom, and displays representing the lifestyle and stories of the time.
