Washington University of Washington, Office of Minority Affairs. Assistant Director, Mc Nair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program and Early Identification Program for Graduate and Professional Studies. The McNair Post baccalaureate Achievement Program is designed to provide low-income, first-generation and underrepresented students in graduate education with effective preparation for doctoral study. The broad objective of the program is to increase graduate degree attainment of students from segments of society that are underrepresented in higher education. The Early Identification Program for Graduate and Professional Studies encourages and
assists UW undergraduates from educationally and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to enter graduate or professional school in order to address the paucity of faculty of color in the academy.

The Assistant Director will assist the Program Director in providing
leadership and program management of the McNair/EIP Programs and will work closely with program staff in developing and coordinating program
activities designed to prepare McNair/EIP students for admission and

Requirements: The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree; Ph.C./Ph.D. preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience in program development and project coordination; 4 years experience in college level advising and academic monitoring; college level teaching experience; excellent organizational and leadership skills; ability to work collaboratively with staff and administrators in a university setting; supervisory experience of graduate students; knowledge of research skills and database management; and demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly and effectively.

Desirable: Experience working with federal TRIO programs, which supports the educational development of low-income, first generation college attendees, and underrepresented students. Significant experience working with underrepresented students in a college or university environment, especially African-American, Hispanic, Native American, and low-income, first generation college students.
