LingroLearning and the Center for Applied Second Language Studies are proud to announce the official release tomorrow (September 12) of the first version (Spanish) of LingroToGo, a supplementary, mobile, video- and game-based app to enhance the language study learners are already doing.

How Learners Play

• They jump right in! Lingbot introduces learners to the app and gets them going!
• They go for the gold, earning coins and XP to level up and unlock new content.
• Learners watch videos, then play games. Or, they play games, then watch videos. Then, they repeat (or not). It's completely up to them! Learners can pick the topics, the tasks, and the way they learn best.

How Players Learn

• They play to learn! With LingroToGo, game play is the learning experience, not just a way to practice.
• Learners consider target communicative tasks and relevant language content in context. This approach helps impart understanding of how meaning is constructed and conveyed based on much more than word choice.
• Through gameplay, learners are empowered to tolerate the ambiguity needed for good language learning and are rewarded for time on task, accuracy, speed, and problem solving abilities.
• Learners engage in deep thinking, helping to create the automaticity needed for greater fluency in the target language.
• Learners have fun. LingroToGo is designed to make time devoted to learning as productive and enjoyable as possible.

The more learners play, the more they’ll learn. The more they learn, the more confident they’ll be. LingroToGo lets learners take language learning to the next level-even on the go!
