Keith Toda recently attended the American Classical League Summer Institute, where he played Go Fish in Latin at a Mensa Latina, or conversation table. In this blog post, he describes the game and the variety of phrases used and explains how it exemplifies the practice of sheltering vocabulary (keeping it limited to what comprehensible or mostly comprehensible) rather than grammar.
