| Title | Collaboration Between US-China Strong and CASLS |
| Body | Announced in 2016 by Presidents Barack Obama and Xi Jinping, the 1 Million Strong Initiative is an effort to strengthen US-China relations by raising the number of US K-12 students studying Mandarin Chinese to 1 million by 2020.
The program is led by the US-China Strong Foundation and supported by key implementation partners covering Curriculum, Teacher Training and Technology platforms.
CASLS is one of three key Technology implementation partners on the initiative. Our work on the initiative is focused on improving and increasing access to Mandarin language instruction, particularly in underserved communities.
