Tulane University's Language Learning Center seeks an IT specialist to
provide training for our foreign language faculty in the pedagogical use of
new technologies, to advise and assist them (where appropriate) in creating
curricular materials, and to collaborate on the planning, securing, and
implementation of grant and other funding projects.

Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in applied linguistics, foreign
language pedagogy, instructional technology, or related field; training in
second language acquisition; knowledge of foreign language pedagogy and
technology; expertise in designing Web sites, digital graphics, and multimedia
materials for instructional use; substantive knowledge of current Macintosh
and Windows software and hardware; experience with digitizing and
streaming media with video editing; experience with planning and writing
grant proposals; interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills; skills in
written and oral communication with both non-technical end users and
technical staff; and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative
environment.
