GLP Summer STARTALK Teacher Training Program: Highly Effective Teacher by Design III

July 10-21 (new participants)
July 5-21 (returning participants/lead teachers)
Manhattan, New York; Columbia University

The GLP teacher-training institute, funded by a STARTALK grant from the National Foreign Language Center, is an intensive 2 or 2.5-week program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of K-12 teachers of critical languages. During Summer 2017 GLP will again offer two teacher tracks, one for new teacher participants and one for teachers who participated in the GLP 2016 STARTALK program or who are experienced in the STARTALK-endorsed principles and TELL Framework and are interested in returning to advance their leadership skills. The program will be taught by nationally recognized instructors of world language teaching Thomas Sauer and Dr. Victoria Gilbert.

The application deadline is April 1, 2017.

For full details, including descriptions of both tracks, go to http://www.glpny.org/startalk2017/
