Havana: Art, Education, and Daily Life
July 1-7, 2017
Deadline to apply: March 15, 2017
Experience Havana, Cuba’s capital city, like a local. From its community centers to art studios, surround yourself in Havana’s culture with the people who call the city home. Alongside your fellow ACTFL members, you’ll take a Spanish lesson, discuss education policy, and visit an organic farm. Each interaction will give you a firsthand understanding of Habaneros’ daily lives.
Language Immersion in Panama
June 26-July 3, 2017
Deadline to apply: March 15, 2017
Improve your Spanish skills while being immersed in Panamanian culture. Alongside other ACTFL members, you’ll engage with community members in Panama City and Chitré, and learn how artisans are working to ensure their culture’s preservation. You’ll also meet with scientists at a tropical research center and dine with locals from surrounding areas.
Language Immersion in France
June 26-July 5, 2017
Deadline to apply: March 15, 2017
Live the language and culture as you travel with other ACTFL members to France. Explore Paris, Provence, and Nice, and improve your French skills as you engage with members of the community. Immerse yourself in French culture as you enjoy a homemade dinner with locals, experience French cuisine during a cooking class, and learn more about the French education system as you meet students and teachers at a local school.
