Body | "Putting the Pieces Together" Northwest Conference on Special Education and Cultural and Linguistic Diversity Interface Date: Friday, December 10, 2004 Place: Lewis and Clark College, Portland OR The conference brings together K-12 educational personnel to focus on the challenges of correctly identifying culturally and linguistically diverse (CLD) students for special education services - considering questions of pre-referral, intervention, and referral processes. The conference is designed to accommodate school teams, which might include classroom teachers, special educators or ESL specialists, and administrators. There are three all-day strands, with a wrap-up session at the end, allowing school teams to specialize and then come together to share learning.
