ACTFL invites qualified individuals to apply to become proficiency testers. In your training, you will be learning to administer and rate Oral Proficiency Interviews (OPIs) according to the ILR scale, which is typically used by the US government. Certified Testers conduct tests as independent contractors for the ACTFL Testing Office, and are paid on a per test basis. As a certified ILR OPI tester, you may be eligible for other freelance/consulting assignments with ACTFL.
