Video game to keep language running Aboriginal language and culture will enter the digital realm with the development of a new computer game using the Ngaanyatjarra language. Tjinari is a game being developed by the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language and Tjaa Yuti Western Desert verbal arts team. The game will be the first of its kind in the Ngaanyatjarra language and will feature the voices of students from the Warakurna Campus of Ngaanyatjarra Lands School. The game, which is expected to be completed and released next year, aims to incorporate the Ngaanyatjarra language into something fun and interactive that youth would be happy to spend their time using.
