Starting date: August 16, 2005. One-year non-tenure-track position to serve as director of basic language instruction in French. Responsibilities include organizing the TA orientation, supervising 100-level course coordinators, reviewing tests and materials created by TAs, evaluating teaching assistants, teaching two courses (Techniques in Teaching College and Secondary French and one other course), and other related administrative duties. Must have Ph.D. (or ABD) in SLA or foreign language pedagogy to be considered. Native or near-native ability in French and English required. Salary commensurate with experience.
