Body | From: http://www.ncela.gwu.edu/enews/2004/1019.htm Scholarships for Students Interested in Becoming Bilingual School Counselors Application Deadline: December 8, 2004 The Brooklyn Campus of LIU was recently awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to offer scholarships for students who are interested in becoming bilingual school counselors, but who are not proficient enough in Spanish reading and writing to pass the required language test for state certification as a bilingual counselor. The student is responsible for only 1/3 of the tuition. Recipients of the scholarship will begin the program in January, 2005.
