American Association of Teachers of French

The AATF is pleased to announce its organization of the fifth annual National
French Week. This week-long celebration of all things French will take place
in schools and communities and AATF chapters across the U.S. from
November 5-11, 2004. We are asking our members and any other interested
Francophones and Francophiles to take French out of the classroom and
demonstrate all the reasons to learn French.

We have identified major themes for each day of National French Week:

- Friday, November 5 - Cuisine
- Saturday & Sunday, November 6 & 7 - Community Events
- Monday, November 8 - Science, Technology, and Careers
- Tuesday, November 9 - the Arts and Arts and Crafts
- Wednesday, November 10 - Sports, Games, and Traditions
- Thursday, November 11 - Music and Dance

On this Web site you will find information and ideas reprinted from past
issues of the AATF National Bulletin as well as items specifically created for
this Web site. A new National French Week poster will be distributed to all
AATF members in the April 2003 National Bulletin. Additional posters and
other promotional items will be available in the summer.
