Title | Ohio Workshop: Teaching towards Language Acquisition |
Body | From http://ofla.memberlodge.org/event-2240276 Teaching towards Language Acquisition This 4-day course will present strategies on how to teach contextualized language while staying in the target language. Many of the strategies will be based on Stephen Krashen’s Comprehensible Input Hypothesis, which ultimately will aid in language acquisition and the foundation necessary for long-term language proficiency. We will teach unit planning using the Backwards Design approach, while using the Ohio World Language Learning Standards, the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines, NCSSFL-ACTFL Can Do Statements, and IPA Summative Assessment. The four sessions will take place August 20, August 27, September 17, and October 22 in Columbus. For full details and to register go to http://ofla.memberlodge.org/event-2240276 |
