TitleSeptember Workshop with Helena Curtain
Body

From http://www.ictfl.org/

The Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages will be starting the next school year with a workshop by Helena Curtain on September 24 in Northbrook, Illinois.

This workshop will highlight important aspects that we must consider as we develop a proficiency-focused curriculum that is deep, and rich, and engaging, for both students and teachers. How can we build a thematically-based (not topically-based) curriculum that is, at a minimum, intrinsically interesting, but that also strives to incorporate elements that are cognitively engaging and culturally connected? Come to this workshop to engage in ideas on creating curriculum and activities with more richness and depth!

The content of this workshop applies to the teaching of all levels of language learners, to all languages taught, and to pre-service teachers through university professors.
