Manhattan, New York; Columbia University

The GLP teacher-training institute, funded by a STARTALK grant from the National Foreign Language Center, is an intensive three-week program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of K-12 teachers of critical languages. During Summer 2016 GLP will be offering two teacher tracks, one for new teacher participants and one for teachers who participated in the GLP 2015 STARTALK program and are interested in returning to advance their leadership skills. The program will be taught by nationally recognized instructors of world language teaching; Thomas Sauer, Dr. Victoria Gilbert, and Rosanne Zeppieri.

The training program is free of charge, and fully sponsored by the STARTALK grant. Learning materials and textbooks, breakfast, lunch and coffee break expenses are provided.
