To meet the needs of a growing number of language instructors who teach online, the Hawaii National Foreign Language Resource Center (NFLRC) has teamed with North Carolina Virtual Public Schools (NCVPS) to develop a series of professional development modules on online language pedagogy. The purpose of this session is to provide an overview of the design, development and implementation of these modules and inform the audience about opportunities to take advantage of them by implementing them in various professional development contexts, since the module and corresponding badge structure are offered as an open educational resource to any interested institution. This presentation is based on one given at the ACTFL 2015 Convention in San Diego, CA.
