Are you a Latin teacher interested in seeing how research-informed modern language teaching techniques can promote comprehension and community in your Latin program? This two-day workshop lets you see a master teacher working with a group of actual Latin learners, discover the ins and outs of the techniques involved, engage in guided practice, and connect with other Latin teachers. During the first day and the second morning, you will see a wide range of techniques in action as you observe Latin classes. At the end of the first afternoon and throughout the second afternoon, you will process what you’ve observed with the instructor and get practice and coaching in the techniques. You’ll leave with several ready-made lesson plans and with confidence to incorporate the techniques into your current curriculum.
