The Summer Institute for the Languages of the Muslim World (SILMW) provides a unique opportunity to explore the languages and cultures of the Muslim World while interacting with experts on the region. In addition to classroom instruction, SILMW offers a variety of co-curricular learning activities designed to enhance and enrich the language learning process, provide additional channels for language contact, and expose students to the traditions of the communities of the Muslim World. Languages offered will be Arabic, Persian, Swahili, Turkish, Urdu, Uzbek, and Wolof.

This summer’s institute will take place June 13-August 6. There will also be a Standard Arabic intensive course for high school students June 12-June 25.

The program registration deadline is April 30, 2016.
