To promote enriched learning environments in and out of the Arabic classroom, Qatar Foundation International plans to award Teacher Initiative Grants (TIGs) in the 2015-2016 academic year to teachers of Arabic who are currently teaching in K-12 public or public charter schools in the United States or Canada.

Grant funds may be used to purchase materials and other resources to enhance the teaching and learning of Arabic, as well as to support school-related cultural or community events. Priority will be given to proposals that fulfill a specific need and contribute to the betterment of the Arabic classroom or program.

Applications for Teacher Initiative Grants will be accepted from September 10, 2015 through April 15, 2016. The next deadline is December 15, 2015.
