| Body | From http://slavicstudies.ua.edu/ The fifty-fourth Annual SCSS Conference will happen on March 17-19, 2016, at The Embassy Suites Hotel in Downtown Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Annual Southern Conference for Slavic Studies Convention is the oldest and largest of the regional Slavic conventions in the U.S. The SCSS organization is a regional affiliate of the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies. Scholars working in the Southern region of the United States who teach and conduct research in any area of Slavic Studies broadly defined, including the history, literature, politics, and languages of Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia and Russia are encouraged to join and attend.
