Cornish language students hits 1,000 as new funding is sought More than 1,000 people are now studying the Cornish language, new figures show. Usage has also accelerated over the past five years, according to a recent promotion, ‘Speak Cornish Week’. Over 250 short videos in Cornish were produced as part of the initiative, producing “significant coverage” on social media, Cornwall Council said. The new online course ‘Say Something in Cornish’ now has over 1000 registered users, the council added.
