Body

American Councils for International Education, ACTR/ACCELS will offer a weekend seminar, October 24-25th, 2015, in Washington, DC for teachers of Russian who are interested in the Prototype AP® Russian Exam and The College Board-American Councils National Examinations in World Languages (NEWL) Series: Russian. These standards and proficiency-based assessments reflect the best practices in language assessment. During the two-day seminar, participants will gain an understanding of the core design and content of the proficiency-based Prototype AP® Russian Exam and the NEWL: Russian Exam, as they relate to course curriculum, exam content, online administration and scoring. Special attention will be made to incorporate local conditions into the design and planning of proficiency-based curriculum, as teachers gain an understanding of and experience with the four sections of the exam. Upon completion of the seminar, participants will receive a certificate of participation and of qualification to administer the Prototype AP® Russian Program and Examination and The College Board-American Councils National Examinations in World Languages (NEWL) Series: Russian at their home schools.
