The Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages offers several scholarships for professional development:

Cemanahuac Educational Community in Mexico Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to provide an immersion experience for a teacher in a public or private K-12 Spanish program who has shown professional commitment to, and sustained involvement in, the teaching of Spanish language and culture. The award includes registration, tuition for two weeks, housing (double occupancy) with all meals. Other expenses, in addition to airfare, that the recipient would have to cover on his/her own would be transfer to Cuernavaca, a textbook, cultural field study trips and personal expenses. The recipient can attend at any convenient time in 2016.

Maximizing Language and Cultural Competency through Educational Travel to Peru Academia Latinoamericana de Español

A two-week Spanish language immersion experience and Indigenous Andean Culture or Regional Literature course including a home stay and four (4) hours of instruction per day.

Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières Programme Enseignant

The Enseignant program is a three-week French immersion program designed for teachers and professionals. French courses are given every morning of the week. In the afternoon, participants attend various specialized workshops and/or conferences. Lively and diversified socio-cultural activities are also scheduled over the three week period. Discover Trois-Rivières and its surroundings, Quebec City, Montreal and much more!

Goethe-Institut Scholarship

This scholarship, available to teachers of German in levels K-16, provides a one- or two-week professional development course at one of the 12 Goethe-Institutes in Germany in 2016; full information about available courses and dates can be found here: http://www.goethe.de/lhr/prj/fid/enindex.htm. The scholarship includes tuition, course materials, housing (varies depending on course location), breakfast every day and one main meal on Monday-Friday, cultural program, public transportation at seminar location, medical, accident and liability insurance for the duration of the seminar, coverage for transport home in case of illness. Not included: transportation to Germany and additional meals. Applicants must be members of AATG.

The application deadline for all scholarships is November 30, 2015.
