CARLA has added a new offering to its schedule of 2015 summer institutes.

Going "Green": Bringing Sustainability and Environmental Themes into the Language Classroom
July 13–17, 2015

Want to go “green” in your language classroom? This new summer institute will provide an overview of key environmental/sustainability issues and will explore the reasons why this interdisciplinary topic is an excellent fit with second language classes. After learning about the fundamentals of content-based instruction and Design Thinking for languages, participants will gain hands-on experience developing lessons on environmental themes using authentic materials.
