TitleResearch Fellowship Program of the German Marshall Fund
BodyThe German Marshall Fund of the United States offers grants for research to
improve the understanding of significant contemporary economic, political
and social developments relating to Europe, European integration and
relations between Europe and the United States. Graduate students, recent
Ph.D. and more senior scholars are eligible to apply.

Support for dissertation fieldwork in Europe will be available for one year in
the amount of $20,000. Recipients of support for advanced research are
expected to work full-time on the proposed project, without teaching or other
substantial professional responsibilities, for a period not less than one
academic term and not greater than one year. Awards of up to $40,000 will be
made for postdoctoral and advanced research.

Application Deadline: November 12, 2004 (dissertation and advanced
research).
