If you live near Chicago, this cultural event, Infinités Plurielles, might be of interest to you and/or your French students.

“They might be astronomer, biochemist, neurobiologist, geophysician or radar engineer… but what the 140 women featured in Infinités Plurielles have in common is being women and trailblazers in the field of science and innovation in France. Commissioned by the Ministère de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche, Infinités Plurielles seeks first and foremost to inspire more women to pursue scientific careers and take action for a more equal workplace, but also to move cultural frontiers, sustain ideological debates and stimulate creativity.

“Meet Marie-Hélène Le Ny, the artist responsible for collecting the testimonials and taking the photographs of the 30 leaders featured at the Alliance from April 23rd to May 30th, in conversation with Marguerite Leenhardt, a linguist, social media entrepreneur and co-founder of  XiKO, a 'big data' startup dedicated to the analysis of conversation on the web."
