LaTeS: Language Teacher Symposium Presented by Laura Terrill Participants will consider the principles of backward design as they analyze a thematic unit designed to be taught at the novice level and will consider the impact that performance assessment has on unit design and on daily instruction. They will collaborate to design or modify an existing unit. They will then consider effective lesson planning strategies designed to enhance student engagement and maximize student learning.
