SEASSI is an eight-week intensive language training program for undergraduates, graduate students and professionals. This year's program will run from June 15 to August 7. Instruction is offered for academic credit in eight languages at the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year levels. Languages offered are Burmese, Filipino, Hmong, Indonesian, Khmer, Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese.

Each language course is equivalent to two semesters of study, with full academic year credit. Instruction is given in small individualized groups taught by a team consisting of a coordinator (usually a linguist specializing in Southeast Asian language pedagogy) and teachers who are native speakers of that language.

The general application deadline as well as the tuition scholarship deadline is April 1.
