Zachary Jones posts a photo tour of Ybor City, based on the book Black Cuban, Black American: A Memoir by Evelio Grillo. As stated in the post, “Using excerpts from the book as a guide, this Ybor City photo tour summarizes our recent trip to Tampa to see first-hand the locations of Black Cuban, Black American and reflect on its themes.” You could use this in conjunction with the book, or just use the pictures and the themes as discussion starting points, or you could also use this as a model to have your students create their own photo tour based on a book they have read or are reading in the target language.
