You are invited to explore this fascinating and important question this summer as you read compelling texts, listen to distinguished speakers, and conduct engaging field trips. The purpose of this three-week seminar for school teachers is to study the diverse facets of Muslim American identity, both as grounded in the past and as experienced in the present. You will reflect on and discuss thirty primary source documents and two major academic monographs; hear from two visiting scholars and visit two mosques; and create and present individual research projects.
