Body | The Austrian-Jewish author Franz Kafka was born in Prague in 1883. Before his early death at the age of 40 he wrote The Trial, "Metamorphosis," and the many other classics of German literature that he is famous for today. But if Kafka's wishes had actually been carried out, none of his novels and stories would be known today and the term "Kafkaesque" would not even exist. http://german.about.com/library/blkafka.htm |
