Portland Public Schools Grant High School is currently looking for half time Japanese immersion and world language teacher for the 2014-2015 school year. Candidates must be licensed or able to obtain a license as a highly qualified Japanese as a world language teacher. Teaching the immersion classes involves integrating social studies themed content such as Japanese history, current events, and cross cultural perspectives and engaging students in higher level critical thinking while targeting the advanced level proficiency. Candidates need to have curriculum development experience and strong familiarity with the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines.
