The Department of Modern Languages at Ohio University offers a one-year MA program in Spanish specially designed for high school teachers. The program is completed during one academic year and two summers and it overall follows the same criteria, course requirements and credit hours as the regular two-years program.

Those interested could also apply for a teaching assistantship which includes tuition waiver and a stipend of approximately $11,000/year. A TA typically teaches 1 first year language course per semester, and takes 3 classes.
