The sixteenth annual Midwest Association of Language Testers conference will be held Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. he conference theme this year is Under Construction: Building Arguments, Assessments, and Expertise.

Abstracts related to the theme are invited in three categories:

Paper Presentations
Presenters will be given 20 minutes to share a completed piece of research, and 10 minutes will be allotted for audience questions.

Works in Progress
Presenters will have 10 minutes to share their progress in ongoing research, present preliminary data, or describe projects still in the planning stage. These presentations will be organized in a workshop format, with time reserved for open discussion among presenters and the audience at the end of each hour-long block of presentations.

Poster Presentations
Posters may present either completed or in-progress work in a visual format.

Abstract submission will be available from Friday, March 14, through Monday, May 19.
