TitleCOFLT Spring Conference
Body

Hello COFLT Members past and present,

The Spring Conference is March 1st, only two short weeks away, and it is shaping up to be a great professional development opportunity.  I encourage you to attend!  If you have already registered, pass this message on to a friend or colleague.

The registration deadline is February 24th to ensure a tasty lunch will be waiting for you.  Did you see the enticing Grilled Salmon Caesar Salad on the menu?

We are delighted to offer two great pre-conference workshops on February 28th.

Sabine Levet of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will offer a workshop on Cultura, a dynamic, culturally focused program that develops intercultural learning while teaching a second language.  If you miss her workshop, you can still catch her keynote address on Saturday morning.

The second workshop by Violeta Ramsay of Linfield College offers you the opportunity to learn about the process of intercultural development in yourself and your students while you discover where you place on the intercultural developmental spectrum.  A certified Intercultural Development Inventory test administrator, Violeta will guide you through the IDI and discuss the results of the assessment with you.

The conference schedule and presentations are now posted to the COFLT website.  We have a great selection of presentations this year for all languages, levels, and interests.  Check them out!

Southwest Washington colleagues, we are happy to be able to offer Washington Continuing Ed Clock Hours for your attendance at the conference.  You can earn up to 10 clock hours for participation in both a pre-conference workshop and the conference.

We hope to see you in Forest Grove!

mit freundlichen Grüßen!
Erica Andree
