| Title | French Folk Dance in Portland, Oregon |
| Body | Portland's French Folk band, Mistral (http://www.onsevenwinds.com/onsevenwinds/Welcome.html ), joins with Alden and Cali Hackman (Luthiers and Hurdy Gurdy Masters) to offer a night of Breton and French Folk Dance, called the Danse de l'Automne on October 19, at 7:45 p.m. at Village Ballroom (700 NE Dekum) in Portland. Featured will be dances from Auvergne, Gascony, Berry, Poitou and Brittany. Mistral plays regularly at the Bastille Day festival and Fête de la Musique, and periodically offers these folk dance events open to the public. The dances will be taught; no partner is needed. Refreshments are provided and beer and wine will also be for sale. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students and folks under 18.
