| Title | Leadership Institute for Latino Literacy, DC, July 23-25 |
| Body | From OELA Newsline, June 1, 2004 The Leadership Institute for Latino Literacy is a weeklong summer Institute designed for educators committed to school wide literacy reform for increasing achievement of the students they serve. NCLR invites coaches, teachers, and leaders to join them for a very special Institute where participants will learn how they can improve curriculum, instruction, and assessment as it relates to literacy for all - especially Latinos and English language learners. According to NCLR, participants will walk away with a school action plan for school wide literacy reform as well as role-specific strategies for increasing student literacy. It is encouraged that schools send a team of two or three staff members who are empowered to make a difference in literacy school wide. The institute offers three graduate credits available upon completion of the Institute and all related activities and assignments.
