| Body | From http://www.jfny.org/japanese_studies/ips_smallgrant.html This program is designed to: (i) support institutions that face difficulties maintaining current levels of infrastructure due to cuts in funding for Japanese studies in the US; and (ii) stimulate interest in Japanese studies by small and newer institutions without an established program of Japanese studies or those that lack personnel or resources. Grants of up to $25,000 will be given to institutions that execute proposals designed to maintain and advance the infrastructural scale of Japanese Studies at their institution. Support in this round will be given for project activities taking place within one year of award.
