| Title | Atlantik-Brücke Seeks Southern California Teachers for Study Trip to Germany |
| Body | From http://www.germany.info/Vertretung/usa/en/__pr/GKs/LOSA/2013/05/01AB.html?archive=1998708 The Atlantik-Brücke Study Trip program seeks to bring American social studies and German history teachers as well as German language instructors - who may never have visited the country - to Germany, in order for them to gain a vivid perception of modern Germany to share with students, colleagues and friends. During their week-long study trip, teachers will learn about Germany’s society, political institutions, history and culture first-hand by visiting schools, museums and memorials, meeting with German politicians, journalists, business representatives, colleagues in education and Germany’s young generation. Teachers do not need to speak German in order to apply for the program. Though preference is given to middle and high school teachers, elementary teachers are also welcome to apply. This year’s program is offered in cooperation with the German Consulate General in Los Angeles, California and Germany’s Central Agency for Schools Abroad, a representative from which will serve as the program contact in the U.S. and will accompany participants on the study trip.
