Title | Job Posting: Elementary French Immersion, MN |
Body | Language immersion is an approach to second language education in which all the curriculum areas are taught in the target language. From kindergarten on, kids receive all of their instruction in their second language - reading, writing, math, science, everything. In Minnesota, there are now 8 immersion schools operating in Spanish or French, with two more opening next year. Normandale Elementary is a K-5 French immersion school in Edina (suburb of Minneapolis), Minnesota. We have a number of openings for next year. If you are looking for a change, a new challenge, job security, and the chance to be part of a growing movement in language education, you may be interested in applying for a position. If you have excellent French skills, a French teaching license and are willing to pursue an elementary license (you have up to four years to complete the license while teaching with your French license), you would be an excellent candidate. Please visit our web site at http://www.edina.k12.mn.us/normandale . If you are interested in a position, contact our principal, John Devine: johdevine@edina.k12.mn.us.
